Inhabit to Consolidate PMS Platforms, Standardize on Streamline by 2026
In a significant move aimed at modernizing its technology infrastructure, Inhabit has announced plans to consolidate its property management system (PMS) platforms into a single solution: Streamline. This strategic shift will unify the company’s existing platforms — LiveRez, LMPM, and VRM — under one system, with a full transition expected to be completed by July 2026.
According to Inhabit, the decision reflects a broader initiative to reduce platform fragmentation, accelerate development cycles, and deliver a more cohesive experience across the vacation and short-term rental industry. The consolidation is expected to allow the company to centralize support, standardize integrations, and deliver feature enhancements more efficiently.
Streamline Named the Primary Platform
Streamline will serve as Inhabit’s core PMS offering moving forward. All future development, feature rollouts, and product enhancements will be directed exclusively to this platform. The company has stated that Streamline’s existing infrastructure and capabilities make it well-suited to support the combined functionality of the legacy systems it will replace.
Inhabit described the move as an effort to “enable faster innovation, deeper integrations, and improved service.” Centralizing on one PMS platform is intended to simplify technology management for clients and partners, and to reduce operational overhead on both sides.
Legacy Platforms to Sunset in July 2026
As part of the transition, LiveRez, LMPM, and VRM will be fully phased out by July 2026. Inhabit has indicated that client migrations will take place in phases leading up to this sunset date. During the transition period, existing users of the legacy platforms will continue to receive support, including essential maintenance for API functionality and regulatory compliance.
However, no new features or enhancements will be added to the legacy systems. This includes any updates that are not required to maintain basic functionality or meet compliance standards. Partners and clients using these platforms are being encouraged to begin preparing for migration to Streamline.
By sunsetting three of its legacy systems and focusing its efforts on Streamline, the company is signaling its intent to simplify its technology ecosystem and accelerate innovation. Clients are advised to prepare for phased migrations ahead of the July 2026 sunset and to begin exploring what the move to Streamline may entail for their operations.
Implications for Clients
For current users, the move presents both opportunities and challenges. While the transition to a single, modernized platform could offer long-term benefits, the migration will require planning and induce some instability for property managers. Specifics around migration timelines, data transfer, and training have not yet been fully disclosed.
How Property Managers Can Limit Disruption & Instability
To minimize disruption during the transition to Streamline, property managers should prioritize stabilizing their digital presence by partnering with a reliable website provider that can launch a new site quickly and seamlessly. Choosing a partner with a proven Streamline integration and a track record of delivering strong results for clients ensures that your website will be fully optimized to support the new PMS platform.
Additionally, a cost friendly website solution that meets modern design and performance standards—not only outperforming the competition but also capable of launching in just two weeks—can help avoid unforeseen expenses and downtime.
Just as importantly, identifying a web partner with a reputation for high end client support and service will give property managers the confidence and continuity they need throughout the migration process and beyond.
